What is FLL?
FIRST® LEGO® League introduces students to STEAM through hands-on robotics programs meant for all ages, coding, and real-world problem-solving challenges built around an annual theme. Teams create autonomous LEGO® robots to complete missions while also developing a research-driven Innovation Project connected to the theme. The program prioritizes teamwork, creativity, communication, and foundational engineering thinking. FLL provides an engaging entry point into robotics by combining structured exploration with playful, mission-based learning.

What is FLLE?
FIRST® LEGO® League Explore introduces younger students to STEM concepts through guided LEGO®-based model building. Instead of competitive matches, teams create interactive, motorized models tied to the season’s theme and produce a poster explaining their ideas and teamwork. The emphasis is on curiosity, communication, and early engineering reasoning. Explore provides a supportive environment that builds confidence and foundational problem-solving skills without the pressure of competition.

What is FLLC?
FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge is the competition-centered division for upper-elementary and middle-school participants. Teams build and program an autonomous LEGO® robot—commonly using SPIKE™ Prime—to complete scoring missions on an intricate challenge field. Alongside robot development, teams research a real-world issue related to the yearly theme and present their Innovation Project to judges. Events evaluate robot performance, engineering process, teamwork, and presentation skills, offering a rigorous but approachable introduction to engineering disciplines.
